EFA has always been involved with numerous European wide projects. This has helped cement ties with other stakeholders.
The projects and partnerships in which EFA has become involved all have a common aim: They seek to empower the patients and at the same time promote awareness of diseases, improve their management and treatment.

MeDALL
The MeDALL (Mechanisms of the Development of ALLergy) Project
is an EU funded project under the 7th Framework Programme (7FP), which aims at improving the health of European citizens by investigating the causes of allergy. Its results will help to improve the quality of life of people with allergy across Europe through helping to improve early diagnosis, targeting primary and secondary prevention strategies and the development of novel cost-effective treatments for allergic disorders.MeDALL Press Release EFA Presentation at MeDALL Kick-off MeDALL Brochure
U-BIOPRED
U-BIOPRED (Unbiased BIOmarkers in PREDiction of respiratory disease outcomes) is a research project from the European Commission's 7th Framework Innovative Medicines Initiative to understand more about severe asthma, involving scientists from universities, research institutes, the pharmaceutical industry and small companies. EFA is a partner in the project and participates in developing communication, dissemination, ethics and patient perspective in research.
EFA copd pROJECT
The EFA COPD project aims to raise awareness of COPD in Europe. As part of its ongoing work on COPD, EFA has launched a book on COPD from patients' perspective in twelve European countries, as well as a Call to Action on COPD to European policy makers. These both took place in 2010 at the European Parliament in Brussels.

healthvent
HealthVent is a multidisciplinary project from the EU Public Health Programme which aims to develop health-based ventilation guidelines for a revision of building codes, to take into account health, energy efficiency, different building types and climate conditions in Europe, and provide information to help policy makers and stakeholders in building design and construction improve the quality of life of European citizens.
