On the 7th of February 2012, EFA EU Policy and Project Officer Roberta Savli participated in a clinical research site visit organised by the OLV Hospital Aalst and MSD Europe in Flanders, Belgium. The programme included a two-hour theoretical presentation on clinical trials and the current regulation that governs them, now that the clinical trials directive 2001/20/EC is set be revised by the European Commission. After this presentation, participants were given a tour of the hospital and its medical facilities. For EFA, it was important to be able visit and gain insight on how thing actually happen on the ground.
