Following an annual assessment, the European Medicines Agency (EMA), the European Union agency for the evaluation of medicinal products, confirmed the continued compliance of EFA with the criteria required to be an EMA eligible organisation. This means that EFA will continue to be involved in EMA in the future, in the Patients' and Consumers' Working Party and will bring its members updates on EMA activities.

This is indeed a good and important news considering that it is crucial that EFA is involved in EMA for the sake of the patients it represents, as patient involvement ensures that the dignity and legitimacy of people living with allergy and airways diseases is recognised.
