It was with great sadness that we inform you about the passing of Luísa Soares Branco, the President of EFA Portuguese member RESPIRA.

As a patient and patient leader, Luísa was thoroughly committed and engaged in COPD advocacy and improving the services and how the healthcare system and society receive and treat patients. She made sure that RESPIRA was a strong contributor to the EFA COPD and Oxygen projects and to our common European COPD patient movement through active engagement in EFA. Luísa was a real leader and fighter for the COPD patients’ rights in Europe.

The staff and Board of EFA would like to take this opportunity to present our deepest sympathy and sincere condolences to her family, friends and colleagues.

Goodbye, dear Luísa and Thank You,

On behalf of friends and colleagues in EFA,

EFA President Christine Rolland

and EFA Director Susanna Palkonen
