On the 13th of February, EFA Director of Policy and Strategy Roberta Savli participated in a briefing organised by our partner Health and Environment Alliance (HEAL) together with the World Health Organisation (WHO) on air pollution and health.

Dr Maria Neira, Director for the Department of Public Health, Environmental and Social Determinants of Health at WHO, gave an inspiring speech on Climate change and air pollution - what is the health diagnosis for the EU? She urged health professionals to join in a campaign to prioritise air quality within the European political agenda in Europe. For Dr Neira, there is no limit for public health ambition.

As WHO will be launching several initiatives on air pollution, EFA will support them and cascade them at national level.

EFA is constantly advocating for reducing air pollution effects on health of Europeans with asthma, allergy and COPD.
