During the European Respiratory Society Congress (ERS) in London in September, we launched our Stop Asthma campaign, a pledge to increase European investment on asthma research that has been translated into 19 European languages.

Although in comparison to the 20,000 attendees we were very few patients at the European Respiratory Society Congress (ERS), we were very active participants bringing the patient perspective closer to healthcare professionals. We presented our latest research on adherence to asthma treatment, and several projects were patients are at the heart: EARIP, AirPROM and U-BIOPRED.

In September we published the translations into French, German and Spanish of our HEY YA report on young patients with asthma that we presented at the ERS Congress (London), the European Medicines Agency (London) and the European Health Forum Gastein (EHFG). The translations are available in our website.

The new edition includes the revision of the policies of certain airline companies who modified their procedures in order to meet the needs of people travelling with oxygen.
After a round of public vote via web, the myAirCoach device was listed among the 16 finalists and IHP was invited for a pitch at the ICT Proposers Day held on Monday 26th in Bratislava.
I’ve volunteered for the last twenty years to make a difference for patients in my country before becoming EFA President. The scope has changed but somehow the goals are the same.
