At EFA Annual General Meeting in May 2016, EFA Members supported the idea of supporting the European Parliament launching a Written Declaration in the second part of 2016, an ambitious goal coming from engaged patient representatives.
Since then, EFA has established a collaborative campaign with other 9 European organisations to convince the Members of the European Parlimanent to sign this written declaration on chronic respiratory diseases. Altogether, the nine organisations we represent more than 200 national associations in Europe:

- European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI)
- European Network for Smoking and Tobacco Prevention (ENSP)
- European Patients’ Forum (EPF)
- European Respiratory Society (ERS), and its foundation European Lung Foundation (ELF)
- Health and Environment Alliance (HEAL)
- International Primary Care Respiratory Group (IPCRG)
- Pulmonary Hypertension Europe (PHA)
