In mid September the EFA Projects team attended a European Commission event aimed at organisations involved and interested in the Horizon 2020 research programme. The event focused on partnership and collaboration and addressed how to build successful research project consortiums for the upcoming call for proposals in Health Demographic Change and Wellbeing.

The event gathered a wide spectrum of researchers, healthcare professionals and patient representatives. During the meeting, we had the opportunity to discuss with other participants that are interested in the same areas as us, and we explored how to collaborate with them in the future.

The European Commission also presented the Health, Demographic Change and Wellbeing challenge foreseen in Horizon 2020, with a special focus on the 2016-2017 Work Programme that will be launched this October. After a summary of the presentations by DG RTD director Ms Ruxandra Draghia-Akli, participants were able to ask questions to a panel of commission representatives and learn from successful H2020 project applicants.
