EFA Young Patient Ambassadors Training

28th June & October 17:00-20:00 CEST

Online

The EFA Young Patient Ambassadors Training is part of EFA’s Capacity Building. This training is organised in connection with the European Allergy and Asthma Youth Parliament set up in 2020. The training will provide young patient ambassadors with the necessary skills to engage at the European level through the Youth Parliament. Importantly, we included young experts to share their expertise and experiences connecting with young patients and inspiring them.

Objectives:

  • Day 1 – European decision-making: provide participants with a top-level description of the EU and its links with Europe and individual countries. Health and prevention policies will be used as examples to explain the EU policy-making process.
  • Day 2 – Advocating change effectively: improve participants’ advocacy and public speaking skills to influence EU decision-making. Participants will put into practice the knowledge acquired in the previous session.
  • Both days will have an interactive session with participants.

Target audience: This training is open to 20 young patient representatives and healthcare professionals below 35 years old.

Please note that the second day has been moved from 30th June to take place in October (tbc)
