In February EFA organizes our first alignment meeting with Baltic allergy, asthma & COPD patient organizations to discuss cooperation. Also in February EFA members are coming to Brussels to our first ever training on getting involved in various ways as patients with the EMA. In June, there will be an event in the European Parliament showcasing EU Projects in which EFA partners and how they involve and benefit patients and ultimately the society. Read More...

January was a month when important legislations, such as those on tobacco or medical devices, were discussed or taken to next stage within the European Parliament. The health priorities of the Greek Presidency were also presented, and EFA participated in an event promoting awareness of allergies in the European Parliament.

This month, EFA provided patient expertise at the EU project SILNE meeting in Amsterdam. An important meeting of various NGOs on EU air quality took place and EFA, as an active player in the field of air quality could not miss it. This month was very important for Asthma Society of Ireland because January was the month when they actively fought for legislation that would in the future secure plain packaging of cigarettes.
