When patient advocates are involved in the decisions affecting them, policies, research and treatments become more coherent with patients’ needs and health systems. At EFA, we are delighted to witness that EU stakeholders believe this too: we have been invited to participate in the Scientific Panel for Health for Horizon 2020 and the Scientific Advisory Board of the upcoming ERA-NET “ERACoSysMed - Systems Medicine to address clinical needs”. We wish to publicly thank the institutions for giving patients the space to participate in future policies shaping health.
