In 2011, the European Union adopted a regulation to protect allergic people by ensuring that information on allergens present in food is updated and clearer. Ahead of the entry into force of the regulation next December 2014, EFA organises a round table at the European Parliament to present best practices adopted by Member States on food labelling and how patients are, and should be, involved in this process.
