The Irish Government has adopted ‘The Warmth and Wellbeing Scheme’ a plan to renovate the homes of patients with chronic respiratory conditions, with free energy efficiency upgrades to make them warmer and more comfortable, especially during colder months.

In practice, patients with chronic respiratory diseases can receive a certificate from their doctors to be eligible to renovate their houses according to their health needs.

EFA Member Asthma Society of Ireland have been promoting to members and general public this Irish initiative for healthy building.
