The Swedish government banned smoking in outdoor public places from July 1st. The following places should now be smoke-free: entrances to public buildings, places waiting for public transport, outdoor dining areas, playing-grounds for children, and public outdoor arenas for sports etc.

In coordination with implementation of the European Tobacco Products Directive (TPD) to national legislation, the ban also includes e-cigarettes. EFA member Swedish Asthma and Allergy Association has been working several years for extending the Swedish Tobacco law. Congratulations for achieving this important milestone!
