It has been 30 years since EFA was created and we have demanded that the healthcare needs of allergies and airways diseases patients are addressed in an appropriate, time-sensitive, and fair manner. In 2021 we demonstrated that we stand for equal access to the same high-quality care for everyone, independent of country of origin, race, socio-economic status or gender.
EFA has been an essential partner in EU funded research, helping ensure that patients' needs are driving research questions and that patients are participating in projects as equal partners rather than as research subjects. Patient involvement is essential to the development of relevant, focused, and feasible research protocols and outcomes; EFA is proud to have been a patient advocate at the table for the last 30 years and counting.
