EFA and the European Allergy and Asthma Youth Parliament is excited to invite young patients to take part in the Young Leadership Training. This capacity building event will take place 29-30th September 2022 in Brussels, Belgium. During these two days, participants will take part in workshops and tours to see up close how the EU operates. They will also skills and understanding in how as young patient advocates, they can have a voice in decision-making to improve the Quality of Life for young allergy and asthma patients across Europe.

Participants will also have the chance to attend a European Parliament event hosted by MEPs from the Interest Group on Allergy and Asthma, as well as network with like-minded civil society representatives.

Why should you get involved?

• Develop practical skills in advocacy and meet policymakers
• Gain insight into how the different EU institutions work and pass legislation
• Learn about the European allergy and asthma patient movement and become a young patient advocate
• Meet other young people living with allergy and asthma from across Europe

Who can apply?

The Young Leadership Training is open to allergy and asthma patients and scientific advisors aged 16-30 at the time of the event. It is open to EU and non-EU citizens based in Europe. You do not have to be a member of the European Allergy and Asthma Youth Parliament to take part, but you must have a demonstrable interest in patient advocacy in allergy and asthma care.

The programme will be fully funded and will cover travel, accommodation, and meals. EFA holds the right to not accept any application that does not meet the criteria.
