Federasma is proud to announce that after many years of hard work, the Italian Ministry of Health has issued “Guidelines for Prevention of Allergy & Asthma Risk Factors in Schools”. The guidelines are a result of an agreement between the Italian and regional governments, and will allow for the development and implementation of real measures to improve air quality in Italian schools. This will contribute to reinforcing prevention policies in Italy and protecting people with chronic respiratory diseases, in particular children’s health. The programme is one of the initiatives of GARD (Global Alliance Against Chronic Respiratory Diseases) Italy - created in mid 2009 within the Italian Ministry of Health - and of the Working Group formed for this purpose, in which Federasma represents not only its members, but all the Italian associations of people with respiratory diseases.
