Report from our joint event with the ECC “What role for diseases and patients in shaping Horizon 2020? A COPD case study of patient involvement” As promised in the last issue of our eZine, this month we bring you the full report from the event we organized in collaboration with European COPD Coalition (ECC) on 28th November, 2013. The conference successfully met its objectives to discuss the newly adopted EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation – Horizon 2020, and standards of care for COPD, with a patients’ perspective including the official launch of the EFA’s latest book on COPD entitled Minimum Standards of Care for COPD Patients in Europe. For this purpose, the event accommodated wide range of speakers, from Members of European Parliament, policy makers, researchers, health care specialists to COPD patients as well as other stakeholders.
