Approximately 2 million Swedes have some form of allergy and of these, around 800,000 recognise a burden so big that it affects their daily lives. According to EFA Member the Swedish Asthma and Allergy Association, many people worry needlessly and have poorer quality of life because their allergic diagnostic is uncertain. Medical care to determine if an allergy is mild or life threatening lack the resources and knowledge, despite diagnostic methods available.  We need a national strategy for allergic diseases, says the patients’ association
