The Portuguese Chronic Respiratory Diseases patients’ organisation, RESPIRA, celebrated on April 21st the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Day, were they asked for the establishment of a National Pulmonary Rehabilitation Network. In Portugal, patients with chronic respiratory diseases face many challenges to access pulmonary rehabilitation, like the absence of rehabilitation centers or distances to access them, and the lack of awareness the benefits that rehabilitation has either by the patients or by the state. RESPIRA highlighted all these issues and advocated for a network that could better connect people and services.
