On the 31st of May EFA met with Dr Maia Rukhadze from Georgia, who is a leading allergologist working in Tbilisi. Dr Rukhadze, a patient herself, is confronted with a steep rise on the prevalence of allergy and asthma in children and witnesses the difficulties encountered by patients, not only in Georgia but also in neighboring countries like Armenia or Azerbaijan. She discussed with us the best ways to help patients in Georgia, who usually have limited health knowledge and might live in isolated areas. Thanks Maia to share with us the situation in Georgia. We would be pleased to connect with Georgian patients in the future.
