- Air Quality

How can we raise public awareness on air quality while at the same time engaging citizens in air quality monitoring and observations? The hackAIR project is developing a platform that will enable this process by allowing people to easily generate and publish information on outdoor air pollution. These community-driven data sources will be complemented with official data for collecting, analyzing and sharing air quality measurements through low-cost open hardware sensors.

EFA is part of the hackAIR Advisory Board and is providing the perspective of people with allergy and respiratory diseases for the creation of the platform. Thanks to several the project has already defined the user needs and the technical requirements; at the same time workshops with end-users have been set up in the pilot areas (Norway and Germany) to guarantee that the users’ voice is heard.

We will report all progress of this exciting project. If you wish to have more information please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
