synairg kickoff

On 1 September the new Horizon Europe funded project, "Disrupting Noxious Synergies of Indoor Air Pollutants and their Impact in Childhood Health and Wellbeing, using Advanced Intelligent Multisensing and Green Interventions” (SynAir-G), kicked off its work with a consortium meeting in Athens, Greece, with EFA representatives in attendance.

SynAir-G aims to improve understanding of the main sources and interactions of chemical and biological indoor air pollutants in schools, to develop user- and environmentally friendly solutions and interventions with a particular focus on vulnerable populations, and disseminate the generated knowledge and interventions to key stakeholders.

In this project EFA will lead the communication and dissemination activities and contribute to the drafting and dissemination of policy guidelines for action on indoor air quality.

EFA will also be involved in the IDEAL Cluster – Indoor Air Quality and Health activities. The IDEAL Cluster will regroup all the projects that have been selected and funded in the Indoor Air Quality Call for proposals. In the Cluster, EFA will be leading the activities related to the translations of science into policy and practice, particularly around indoor air quality research and maximise the impact of the individual project findings and results.

EFA representatives presented their role in the project and in the Cluster. In conjunction with the kick-off meeting, the social media channels of the project were set up. The official SynAir-G website will be launched soon, so stay tuned! You can follow the projects updates on Twitter and LinkedIn.
