EFA representatives Celine Demoulin and Susanna Palkonen attended the EAACI Congress 2024 in Valencia. This year’s theme revolved around revolutionising patient care with data science. The digital evolution presents opportunities for more patient involvement in care and research.
The theme of the EAACI Congress 2024 was 'Revolutionising Patient Care Through the Power of Data Science.' From the patient's perspective, this is an evolution of its own, and digital advancements present patients with opportunities for more patient involvement in care and research, but also come with the challenges of losing control and dehumanisation of patient needs.
As part of the EAACI Patient Organisation Committee (POC), EFA and many of our members including the 4 EFA member representatives put forward the patient perspective at the scientific sessions: Özlem Ceylan from Turkey on asthma, Armando Ruiz from Spain, Mikaela Odemyr from Sweden and Sabine Schnagt from Germany.
