In October the European Medicines Agency launched a new topic group on digital health that will provide insights and recommendations to the agency on how to tackle the digital dimension of medicines and health with a broader but focused perspective. EFA is an active member of the group.

The group itself is a recommendation from the Social Media topic group, launched in 2015, that proposed to the agency to look into the use of digital media for medicines, beyond social media, and explore the use of mHealth and real world evidence.
